It also helps if candidates have at least three months of experience with LAN/WAN implementation or installation; five months of experience with WAN implementation or installation; six months of experience with service provider interconnect (SPI) design; eight months' worth of work experience using Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2) or Open Shortest Path First Version 2 (OSPFv2); and nine months' worth of work experience using Border Gateway Protocol Version 4 (BGPv4).
